Greetings,
Christmas has come and gone and so has Santa. I haven't taken the tree down yet I will do that on January 1st.I will be making some changes to this site to freshen it up for 2008. But for nw i have added some free things to do while you visit. You can get a chuckle with cartoon of the day or read the news. How about taking a moment to send an e-card or use a crystal ball and see your future.Check out the latest celebrity gossip or check out a new flat screen TV.Christmas may have ended for this year but shopping is still going on. All these sites are open all year and 24/7.Did you get everything on your wish list? If not shopping on line is a great way to beat the lines at the after Christmas sales. Are you having a New Years party? You can purchase music or movies and snacks right from your computer.AS soon as the sales get going I will post the coupons for those and the dates. One of my family traditions is eating black eyed peas and corn bread on New Years Day. The farmers in the South believed that eating black eyed peas on the first day of a new year would insure plentiful crops. We just think they are delicious. To everyone I wish a prosperous New year
Happy New Year

FUN GAMES FOR CHRISTMAS DAY
Now the gifts have all been opened and paper is strewn around the room, but that doesn't mean the fun has to be over! How about some fun games to make the day even more memorable!
One way you can do that is play the 'hat game'. With the hat game you give everyone a Santa hat when they arrive. They don't cost much and you normally be purchased for about $1 each. Everyone can go about his or her day wearing the hat to give the atmosphere a festive look, but that's not the main objective of the 'hat game'
The main objective of the game is to 'lose the hat' because you don't want to be the last one wearing one! As people go about the day opening gifts, playing games with the kids, eating, chatting etc. there's bound to be at least one person who will forget to take it off and will be declared the loser!
Another good game is called the 'guess the contents' game. What you will need is a pair of heavy-duty socks that come up to about your calf and then some Christmas related items. You'll want to have 2 of each item and you'll put 1 of each item in each sock. You could use things like candy, small ornaments, tape roll, pine cone etc. Next you'll let each person feel the sock and tell them how many items are in the socks. The purpose of 2 socks is to make the game go faster but if the group is small 1 sock will do. Have each person write down what they think the contents of the sock are. The one who wins gets to keep the socks!
If you have some people who like to be the center of attention in your group, you may opt to play a little game of "Christmas Idol". You then need to setup a couple of tables for the 'judges' to sit and then let the performers take the floor and sing a Christmas song. Have them dress up for the part and have some fun with the song to make it more entertaining. To add a little twist to the judging you may want to let the kids judge the adults and visa versa if you have some kids who like to ham it up as well. For the adult winners you can give them a Christmas CD and for the kids some kind of toy or candy will always be a hit!
Happy Holidays

Christmas Craft: Bead and Pipe Cleaner Ornaments
Greetings,
Christmas ornaments made from ordinary pipe cleaners and inexpensive acrylic beads are very pretty and easy to make. They look quite impressive yet are easy enough for small children to make. This is one Christmas craft idea to use again and again. Older people will enjoy making this Christmas craft, too, which can be varied to make a number of different sparkling ornaments for your Christmas tree.
To make the bead and pipe cleaner ornaments, you need common pipe cleaners in desired colors and acrylic beads. Two types of beads are particularly effective when strung on pipe cleaners. One type are called sunburst beads, but are also known as paddlewheel beads, snowflake beads, or starburst beads. These beads have six faceted paddles spaced equally around a center that contains the hole for stringing. When several of these sunburst beads are strung consecutively, they fit against each other in an interlocking pattern.
The other type of bead that is also effective for this Christmas craft is called the tri bead or propeller bead. It has three rounded bumps arranged around the stringing hole. Like the sunburst beads, the tri beads interlock when strung consecutively. For the most sparkly and attractive Christmas ornaments, get tri beads and/or sunburst beads in translucent colors of red, green, and clear. The tri beads can also be found in metallic gold and silver which can be used in this Christmas craft as well.
Pipe cleaners can be found in silver and gold tinsel as well as chenille of all colors. For the Christmas craft, the best colors to use are the metallics and Christmas colors. The beads cover the pipe cleaners, but the ends will need to be twisted together and made into hangers, so they show.
Anyone, even small children, can string these beads on pipe cleaners. Bend up the end of the pipe cleaner so the beads don't fall off. The pipe cleaner works like a needle, making a needle unnecessary. For best results, show the children how to alternate colors when stringing, or start a pattern of three colors. When the beads are strung on the pipe cleaners, they can be bent into different Christmas shapes. For instance, string red and clear beads alternately, then bend down one end of the pipe cleaner for a candy cane shape. Or alternate red and green beads and form a circle for a wreath. Use red pipe cleaner to form a small bow to decorate the wreath. Form a hanger for the Christmas craft or simply slip the circle over a branch of the tree.
If you experiment with clear beads and silver pipe cleaners, you can make some beautiful snowflake or star ornaments. Snowflake designs can be twisted of silver pipe cleaner only, without the beads for a simple but pretty decoration.
Bead and pipe cleaner ornaments are a Christmas craft you will find yourself using every year. Children and their parents will both appreciate this simple yet pretty Christmas craft.

Holiday Shopping Safely
Greetings,
Just a short note to let you know that I have found some more great places for your Holiday gifts. It is so simple these days to shop on-line. Please remember to look for the lock down on your bottom task bar to make sure it is a secure site. Also Scammers and ID thieves are proficient at this time. So be careful putting your personal information out there. If you are not sure about a site open a new tab and go to the site your self. If you are still not sure then do not go there. One clue if they ask for your information your sex, height, hair color and such be very wary . I am an-line shopper myself and I have never had a reputable store or business as me those kind of questions. There is also another phishing scam where they tell you your bank account has been accessed or what ever and they give you a link to go check . Call your bank and check with them personally. I know it is only money but ID theft takes your life away from you. Do not open any E-Mail from Nigeria unless you are from Nigeria or know the person. this is no longer short. I got carried away.
Best Wishes

Holiday Wishes
Greetings,
I hadn't intended to put this blog out so early but I started noticing how many new places I found were having sales. I was going to wait until after Thanks Giving holiday because it seems that it gets skipped over and all the Christmas items have been on display since October. While looking around for some unique gift ideas I did learn some facts that I hadn't known before, and hope you find them interesting. Saint Nicholas was a bishop of the Christian church of Myra, in Lycia, Anatolia. He enjoyed a reputation for great generosity and compassion. Legend has it that he saved the three daughters of a poor nobleman from a life of prostitution, by tossing a bag of gold through an open window of their home on three, separate occasions. This provided the young women with a dowry with which to procure an honorable marriage. The custom of giving gifts at Christmas is attributed to this legend. In keeping with this legend, we hope that Santa brings you and yours all that you want for Christmas. I wish you all the best during all the Holidays.
Kindest Regards
